Ultrasound results!

Well there you have it folks, Brian and I are having a boy! Brian spent about an hour looking at names on the internet tonight! You'll just have to be patient to find out those results.
Brian calls the first picture the "toilet point of view"! Hey, whatever works to show us what we're having, right? It was amazing to see the baby moving around so much. It just makes a little bit more of a reality to see him. The baby even had the hiccups during the ultrasound.

Brian jumps in here:
If you could see the rest of the images you would know that--except for the male-part--the baby already has Ashley's good looks. His first baby pictures. Great beginning to the photo album, aren't they? We're going to bring them out when his girlfriends come over to visit. I, Brian, aka "Daddy," feel the gray hairs coming on already. I did find the first gray a couple months ago--and quickly removed it.
This new reality of fatherhood is stirring up excitement and positive emotions, as well. Thinking about our moments during today's ultrasound, I noticed an undeniable sense of father-son pride. In preparing for the future, I am contemplating the establishment of a college scholarship for my son. I will set aside a thousand dollars in a fund that accrues interest over the years. He may apply for the scholarship if he has been a good boy and if he joins the Ultimate Frisbee team. Serious.

Congratulations Brian and Ashley on beginning a baby boy Baker or is it a baby Baker Boy, or a Baker baby boy. Regardless, we are excited for grand son number 2! Fun to be there during the ultrasound.

Ashley & Brian - Congrats!!! Doesn't a picture make everything that much more REAL? 20 weeks down, 20 more weeks to go. I love the idea of the scholarship fund - I'll have to borrow that one and propose it to Tony. Can't wait to see more pictures of beautiful baby boy Baker! Yeah!!!

Good plan, Brian. If he takes after you at all, I'm sure he won't mind doing frisbee for a scholarship.

I'm excited to find out what the name is!

Congratulations, again!

Ashley,

I know it’s been along time but I ran into one of your paintings in Utah while traveling for work and was able to track you down from there. Its crazy seeing pictures of your family all grown up with families of their own now. I think the last time we spoke was clear back in 1989 when we moved out of Albuquerque. I live near Boulder, CO with my wife Selina and we have our 1st baby on the way (10 weeks). I thought I would drop you a line and say hello and congratulations on everything. Give me a call or email me when you have time.

Yay for a boy!!!! Our kids can be in the same school grade and be on missions together. Can't wait! I love having boys--they are the funnest. I wish you and Brian luck in the name game--Jamie and I brooded over that process but we are really happy we did. You are going to be a mom!!!! I love being a mom sooo much. You are going to love holding your snuggly baby babe.
