We had a beautiful green and rocky weekend in Maple Canyon just West of Moroni. The Sanpete Valley was the greenest I've ever seen it, as if we were in Ireland. The rock formations were surreal and towering. Surrounded with the compatible company of the Shurtleff's and the Bergs making a total of three couples and three cute kids!

Rumor is that this canyon attracts rock climbers from all over the world because of the rare geological conglomerate rock formations found here.

As soon as we woke up Eli and I went outside, pure heaven for Eli! He even slept through the chilly night, pure heaven for me!

Gardens

My swiss chard was mighty big after not seeing it for a week so we made a meal of it. Sauteed it in olive oil and garlic and then put a little soy ginger vinaigrette on it! I love how rewarding a garden can be and I'm always curious to see how other people's gardens are doing and what they are growing. When I go on my morning jogs I am always on alert for gardens. There are some big ones around here that make me jealous and wonder who will eat all that food
